Two Pieces of Beaver, PA Stoneware, second half 19th century, a two-gallon cylindrical jar with stenciled cobalt signature, "MURTA & SONS;" paired with a two-gallon cylindrical jug with brushed fuchsia design. Jug in excellent condition with minor surface wear. Jar with large spider crack from rim on reverse, surface crazing, primarily to rim/shoulder on front, and an in-the-firing base chip. H (of jar) 11 3/4".
