Two Ovoid Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs, NJ or NY State origin, first quarter 19th century, a two-gallon example with tooled shoulder and spout, decorated with a stylized brushed foliate or floral motif, attributed to the Bissett family, Old Bridge, NJ, paired with a three-gallon ovoid jug with tooled spout and stylized brushed foliate or floral motif, NJ or NY State origin. Smaller with base chips and a small in-the-firing ping to shoulder. Larger with a short line at base, some in-the-firing fissures to base of handle, and an in-the-firing iron ping near base on front. H (of larger) 16 1/2".
