Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "EVAN R JONES / PITTSTON. PA," circa 1875, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a graduated hanging flower emanating from a leafy stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 1 1/4" flake to interior of rim. One handle with a 1 5/8" line and tiny nick. H 11 5/8".
