Rare Celadon-Glazed Octagonal Pitcher, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, molded octagonal pitcher with upswept spout and angled handle, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze over gray-green clay. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. The first celadon-glazed example of this form that we have offered. Significant restoration throughout. Handle original. H 8 5/8".
