Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Godfrey and John Heiser, Buffalo, NY, mid 19th century, both of ovoid form with different brushed floral motifs and cobalt-highlighted maker's mark, one stamped "G. HEISER / BUFFALO. N Y," the other stamped "J. HEISER / BUFFALO N. Y." G. Heiser jug with spout chips, minor base chips (some of which are glazed over), a large handle chip, and in-the-firing mottling to surface. J. Heiser jug with minor base chips, a shallow chip to top of spout, staining, and a minor worn spot to handle. H 11 1/2".
