Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1850, cylindrical crock with squared rim and arched tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with swag and hanging fan-shaped floral motifs. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A matte drip of glaze to one side. Two minor chips to one handle. Base chips. A small, in-the-firing contact mark/chip to shoulder. H 4 5/8" ; Diam. 8 1/2".
