One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, ovoid jar with footed base, semi-rounded rim, and arching tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with four-petaled flowers emanating from pairs of graduated swags. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Long faint spider line to surface on one side, not visible on interior. A short, faint hairline from rim with associated faint crazing to shoulder. H 10".
