Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va.," circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated on the front and reverse with a hanging floral motif over slip-coated clay. Rim chips, including two chips measuring 1 1/2" each. Some wear to shoulder molding. In-the-firing mottling to surface. H 7 7/8".
