Rustic Redware Umbrella Stand, probably J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, wheel-thrown, cylindrical form with heavily-incised bark, modeled and incised knots, and applied leaf descending from a cut vine. Traces of gold paint to surface. Leaf with a 1 3/4" edge chip, other minor chipping, and wear. A 1 1/2" x 3/4" flake to exterior of rim. A few other minor chips throughout, including a small chip to interior of rim. H 19 3/4".
