Rustic Redware Umbrella Stand, probably J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, wheel-thrown, cylindrical form with heavily-incised bark, modeled and incised knots, and applied ivy leaf descending from a cut twig. Traces of light-green and gold paint to surface. A 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" rim chip. Various other chips throughout. An in-the-firing fissure to underside, not visible on interior. H 19 3/4".
