Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "FROM / T. Anderson / Anderson's Landing / W. VA," circa 1880, cylindrical jar with raised "wax sealer" rim, featuring T. Anderson stenciling and a stenciled flourish at the center. Albany slip glaze to recessed underside. A 2 3/4" inverted Y-shaped crack from rim on front. Chips to interior of rim and inner wax sealer rim. A faint 1 1/2" line from rim on reverse. A 5/8" chip to exterior of rim and a few other minor chips to exterior of rim. H 7 1/4".
