Two Slip-Decorated Redware Plates, Eastern U.S. origin, 19th century, both with coggled edge and yellow slip decoration under a clear lead glaze; one with central wavy lines flanked by straight lines, Norwalk, CT origin, the other with haphazard yellow slip trails, probably PA origin. Norwalk plate with a edge chips, minor wear to interior, and a thin 5" crack from edge. Other plate with flakes and wear to interior, a shallow 1" chip to edge, a tiny nick to edge, and minor edge wear. Diam. (of Norwalk plate) 9 1/8".
