Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Standing Deer Decoration, attributed to Edmands & Co., Charlestown, MA, circa 1860, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a stag with turned head, standing between two fences with trees. Significant poor restoration to much of crock including paint over majority of surface, with some areas of original, undamaged cobalt design visible. Restoration is starting to decay in places. H 11".
