Two Glazed Redware Articles, Mid-Atlantic origin, both possibly Washington County, MD, 19th century, a rare lead-and-manganese-glazed jar with elaborate embellishments, including crimping and scalloped carving to midsection, the rim with coggled edge and sawtoothed carving; paired with a lead-glazed, ovoid jug with triangular handle terminal and green-and-orange coloration. Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Miller House Museum, Hagerstown, MD. Jar with losses to rim, large crack, and wear to midsection. Jug with wear to handle and spout, as well as a small chip to interior of spout. H (of jar) 6 1/4".
