Two Glazed Redware Articles, John Bell, Waynesboro, PA, circa 1840-1880, a cylindrical mug with sponged manganese decoration and clear lead glaze, stamped "JOHN BELL" on underside; paired with a lead-glazed, ovoid jar with bright-yellow coloration, stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'" at rim. Provenance: Property deaccessioned by the Miller House Museum, Hagerstown, MD. Mug with wear to rim, minor wear to handle, and four cracks from rim, measuring 2 1/2", 2", 2", and 1 1/8". Jar with minor rim wear and a flake to interior base, including a small filled hole to underside. H (of mug) 3 5/8".
