One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled collar, decorated on the front with a fern-shaped blossom hanging from a series of swags. Additional small swag decoration to spout and sides of collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a small in-the-firing contact mark/salt drip to reverse above a long, very thin salt drip. H 10 1/2".
