Rare Copper-Glazed Redware Flowerpot, attributed to Anthony Bacher, Winchester, VA, circa 1880, flared pot with tooled shoulder and distinctive crimped rim, the surface decorated with an unusual lead-and-copper glaze accented with splattered manganese. Losses to rim. A 2" section of top row of crimping cracked and possibly reglued. Additional short, thin cracks to rim area. A small chip to bottom edge and a 5/8" chip to underside at edge, both probably in the firing. H 5 3/4".
