One-and-a-Half-Gallon Glazed Redware Bean Pot, Stamped "J. EBERLY & CO. / STRASBURG, VA", late 19th century, semi-ovoid pot with applied handle, the exterior covered in a lead-and-manganese glaze, the interior covered in a lead glaze over cream-colored slip slip. Shoulder impressed with J. Eberly & Co. maker's mark beside a one-and-a-half-gallon capacity mark. Wear to rim and spout. A tiny chip to inner rim for lid. Two small in-the-firing contact marks to body. Large, thin, semi-circular stacking marks to underside. An in-the-firing contact mark to handle, including a small chip. H 9".
