Exceptional Glazed Redware Plate with Crosshatched Three-Color Slip Decoration, Berks County, PA origin, 19th century, featuring crosshatched manganese, cream-colored, and copper slip, under a clear lead glaze. Appealing wavy and marbled aspects to slip. Exceptional color. Among the most striking plates from the region that we have offered. Provenance: Collection of Lewis Fenley "Dusty" Parker. Excellent condition with minor surface wear to interior and residue from use to rim. Diam. 9 1/4".
