Rare Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Impressed Floral Decoration, probably Xerxes Price, Sayreville, NJ, early 19th century, ovoid jar with heavily-tooled shoulder, footed base, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with impressed medallion featuring a tulip surrounded by a rope border. Provenance: From a recently surfaced collection. Tight cracks throughout. Some scattered exfoliation to surface. Base and rim chips. Water glass staining. Jar is out-of-round. H 13".
