Small-Sized New York City Stoneware Druggist's Jar, probably New York City origin, second quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder and narrow mouth, featuring the impressed advertising, "J & W TOWNSEND / DRUGGIST / CORNER OF / BECKMAN & WATER ST / NEW-YORK." Albany-slip-glazed surface. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 5 3/4".
