Rare Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Wreath Decoration, Stamped "W. SMITH / GREENWICH / NEW-YORK," circa 1840, ovoid pitcher with tooled accents to body and rim, decorated with a brushed wreath design surrounding the maker's mark. Scarce mark and the first pitcher from this pottery that we have offered. In-the-firing chips to base and some minor staining. H 13".
