One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "Jas. Hamilton / & Co. / Greensboro. Pa.," circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, decorated with abstract foliate design above James Hamilton maker's stenciling. Freehand stripe at base. Staining and sticky grease residue to surface. Light wear to rim. H 8 1/2".
