Quart-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1845, ovoid pitcher with footed base, decorated around the midsection with a swag and hanging flower design. Additional swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: From a recently-surfaced collection. A 1 7/8" in-the-making flake to underside, a second small chip to underside, a minor base chip. Rim and spout chips. Minor chips to edge of handle. Some staining and residue to surface. H 7 1/2".
