Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO.," Fort Edward, NY origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a leaf. A small glazed-over chip to spout, a few in-the-firing burns to surface, and some fry to cobalt. H 16 1/4".
