One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F.H. COWDEN / HARRISBURG," PA origin, circa 1880, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a leafy stem bearing graduated flower blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Areas of fry to cobalt. A small base flake and minor base chip. H 11 1/4".
