One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA," circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with tooled accents and flared rim with semi-squared molding, decorated at the midsection with a brushed floral motif with graduated blossom, along with a tulip at the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A small rim chip. A minor in-the-firing chip to side of pitcher. Some fry to cobalt. Some minor staining to surface. H 11".
