Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WHITE'S UTICA.," NY State origin, circa 1865, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird with turned head, perched on a flowering vine. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very nice condition with staining to surface and a 1 3/8" base chip on reverse. H 14".
