Fine Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, early 19th century, well-potted, ovoid jug with footed base, heavily-tooled shoulder, and ribbed strap handle, the lead-glazed surface featuring streaked light-salmon coloration transitioning to celadon at the base. Exceptional color. Provenance: Recently surfaced in a long-term NJ collection. A few surface flakes to shoulder under the arch of the handle. Other minor surface wear. Molasses residue to bottom. H 8 1/4".
