One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / NEW-YORK.," Manhattan, NY origin, circa 1820, ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a brushed, stylized floral motif over the maker's mark. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A deep 1" base chip and a shallow 1" base chip. A 7/8" in-the-firing chip to bottom, which is glazed over. A small number of minor surface flakes. H 11 1/2".
