Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Clabber Bowl, attributed to Thomas Chandler, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1850, tapered form with semi-rounded rim and applied tab handles, the surface covered in a gray-green alkaline glaze. Provenance: A South Carolina private collection. Top-to-bottom firing crack to interior, not visible on exterior. A minor chip to one handle. H 6 3/4" ; Diam. 9 1/4".
