Four Pieces of SC Stoneware, late 19th or early 20th century, a two-gallon brown-glazed jar, stamped 2, and a brown-glazed shoulder jug, stamped "M" at base, attributed to the Baynham pottery, Trenton, SC; a brown-glazed jug, attributed to the Hahn pottery, Trenton, SC; and a Bristol-slip-glazed jug with cobalt advertising for "J.A. BULL & CO. / CASH GROCERS. / GREENVILLE, S.C." Provenance: A South Carolina private collection. Jar with large in-the-firing flakes to bottom edge, handle chips, and a short surface line to rim. Baynham jug with a chip where spout meets handle, some staining to surface, and a small in-the-firing base chip. Hahn jug with chips, as well as residue from the firing and use to surface. Greenville jug in excellent condition with a few small in-the-firing base chips and some staining. H (of jar) 12 1/2".
