Three Pieces of Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware, Penland Family, Candler, NC, circa 1925, two-gallon and six-gallon jars, both stamped "PENLAND'S POTTERY / CANDLER, N.C.;" together with an unmarked two-gallon jar, ex-Doug Penland collection. Provenance: A South Carolina private collection. Signed two-gallon jar with thin 3" crack from rim, chips to one handle, wear to opposite handle, some firing flaws to surface, and some wear to shoulder. Six-gallon jar in excellent condition with a minor handle chip. Unsigned jar with large chip and minor nick to one handle as well as wear to edge of opposite handle. H (of tallest) 14 1/4".
