Two Stoneware Jugs with Pittsburgh Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, one stenciled "JOHN McCULLOUGH. / WINES / & LIQUORS. / 127 LIBERTY ST / PITTS. PA.;" the other diagonally-stenciled "JACOB KELLER. / 190 / SMITHFIELD / ST. / PITTS." McCullough jug with staining to surface, chips to molding at base of spout, a small spout chip, and a crack across underside, extending a short distance onto base area of reverse. Keller jug with spout chips, small nicks to shoulder molding, an in-the-firing contact mark to shoulder, some light surface wear, tight lines to base area on right side of jug, and surface crazing further up right side of jug.
