Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Floral Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1865, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a split-stemmed floral motif featuring open-centered blossoms and graduated swags. Freehand stripe below rim. Reverse impressed with two-gallon capacity mark. Provenance: From a fifty-year private collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with light wear to interior of rim. H 12 1/2".
