Small-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "P.H. KURTZ. / FAMILY / GROCER. / COR. PENN AVE. / & 86 ST. / PITTSBURGH." Advertising flanked by rose stenciling. Excellent condition with a 1/2" surface chip to reverse. H 6 3/4".
