Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry H. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1830, ovoid jar with footed base, semi-rounded rim, and applied tab handles, decorated on the front with a horizontal stem bearing tulips and graduated leaves. Reverse decorated with a leafy stem, including two berries or flower buds at the center. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals and a wavy line of cobalt below each handle. Very nice condition with a few short lines to base area and two chips to foot. H 14 1/4".
