Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Rabbit Decoration, Stamped "NORTON & FENTON, / East Bennington, Vt.," circa 1843-1847, cylindrical crock with applied lug handles and thin, semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a rabbit leaping over a floral motif. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with two small, in-the-firing bloated spots to surface. H 8 1/4".
