Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "L. MARSILLIOT", Euclid, OH origin, circa 1830, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed tulip plant motif below the large impressed maker's mark, "L. MARSILLIOT". Shoulder with large cobalt-script 2. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A large network of thin cracks around base area. Rim chips. A faint 3 1/2" line from rim on left side of front. A reglued 1 3/4" section to rim. Water glass staining to interior and faint water glass staining to exterior.
