One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, T.F. Reppert, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring the stenciled cobalt inscription, "T.F. REPPERT / SUCCESSOR TO / JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO, PA." Stenciled leaf at center. Freehand stripes to shoulder and base. Provenance: From a fifty-year collection. A 1 3/8" crack from rim on side of jar. Some mottling to surface. A thin 2 3/4" horizontal crack at base, extending 1 1/2" onto underside.
