Rare Large-Sized Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "T.A. PACKER," Uhrichsville, OH origin, mid 19th century, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout and applied handle, decorated on the front and reverse with an elaborate triple-stemmed flowering plant. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Missing one handle, a loss that appears to have occurred in the firing, with later blue paint added to lower terminal. Two thin horizontal cracks through handle. An approximately 6" crack on underside, forming an approximately 4 1/2" Y at base on side of jug. Exfoliation to underside. Spout chips. H 18 3/4".
