Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Norton Family, Bennington, VT origin, circa 1855-1875, a three-gallon jug with slip-trailed floral spray, stamped "J. & E. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT;" a two-gallon jar with unusual slip-trailed floral motif, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT:;" and a four-gallon jug with foliate spray, stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT:." Jug with large 3" chip to underside at edge, lines to base area, a minor spout chip, and traces of paint to surface. Two-gallon jar with a small chip to one handle, a minor chip to opposite handle, minor chips to inner rim for lid, and some staining. Four-gallon crock with rim chips, staining, a long thin crack from rim on front, a small thin crack to midsection on front, a short in-the-firing surface line at base on front, and some edge wear to handles.
