Unusual Maroon-Glazed Redware Jar, Northeastern U.S. origin, early to mid 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a purplish-maroon lead-based glaze. Exceptional color. Excellent condition with a very short line to bottom edge, some minor rim wear, and a very short line to bottom edge. H 10".
