Rare Glazed Redware Jug, Stamped Twice "A. WILCOX / West Bloomfield," Ontario County, NY origin, circa 1850, ovoid jug with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded spout molding, the surface covered in a brownish lead-based glaze with appealing crawling throughout. Impressed with Alvin Wilcox maker's mark at base. Essentially as-made condition with an in-the-firing dry, rough area to surface of base area on reverse. H 9".
