Scarce One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Dove Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON SONS, / WORCESTER MASS," circa 1880, semi-ovoid pitcher with tall collar, tooled midsection, and semi-squared rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a dove perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A tight spider crack to left side of pitcher. A 1 1/4" shallow rim chip to right side of pitcher. Wear to interior of rim. A short, minor surface line to interior of spout, not visible on exterior.
