Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Isaac Hewitt, Jr., Rices Landing, PA, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a brushed tulip between straight and wavy freehand stripes. A small chip to inner wax sealer rim and a few tiny nicks to inner wax sealer rim. Spots of staining to surface. Two minor in-the-firing pings to surface. H 8 3/8".
