Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "G.A. McCARTHEY / & BRO. / MAYSVILLE. / KY.," Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring unusual large-sized G.A. McCarthey makers stenciling. Excellent condition with wear to inner wax sealer rim. H 8 1/8".
