Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Pear Decoration, Stenciled "PALATINE POTTERY CO / PALATINE / W.VA," circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a stenciled design of a pear surrounded by Palatine Pottery Company maker's stenciling. A few small chips to interior of rim. Minor nicks to inner rim for lid. H 8".
