Five-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to Edward Stone, Buncombe County, NC, mid 19th century, highly-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and streaked brownish alkaline glaze. Incised "5" under one handle. Excellent condition with minor surface wear. H 15".
