Very Rare Stoneware Flask with Cobalt Inscription "pint," probably Henry Remmey, Sr., Baltimore, MD, circa 1820, bottle-shaped vessel with flattened sides and flaring spout, decorated along the edges with a brushed cobalt leaf or tassel design. Decorated with the word "pint" in cobalt script on front. Color and decoration are consistent with Baltimore stoneware produced by Henry Remmey, Sr. For a wine cooler with similar decoration and inscription "Wine," see Ceramics in America 2004, p. 148. Mint condition. H 7 1/8".
